Field Trips

TUCSON HERPETOLOGICAL SOCIETY

Field Trips

Our field trips are open to members of the Society as well as the general public, and we encourage people of all skill levels to join us on these exciting adventures. Whether you are a seasoned herpetologist or just starting out, our field trips offer a great opportunity to learn about our native reptiles and amphibians.

Our trips are led by experienced guides who are knowledgeable about the local ecology and can provide insights into the behavior and habitat of the various species we encounter. We typically schedule our trips during the cooler months and monsoon season, when reptiles and amphibians are more active and easier to find.

During our field trips, we prioritize the safety and well-being of both the participants and the herps we encounter. We follow best practices for handling and observing wildlife, and we do not disturb or harm the animals in any way.

If you are interested in joining us on one of our field trips, please check our events calendar for upcoming outings.
