The Reid Park Zoo is expanding with Pathway to Asia, and with this is our new Tropical Discovery building. It will be home to Reticulated Python, Straw Colored Fruit Bats, Komodo Dragon and several more unique and exciting species new to Reid Park Zoo. Come hear about the building, see some of this exciting project from the Reid Park Zoo.
James Hall is an animal care specialist with over 20 years of experience. He has built up a diverse background of skills and knowledge. Working in Zoos, college collections, and medical research has given him a variety of skills and diverse understanding of animal care techniques. He has spent time working with animal care takers to understand animal care for a variety of species, including their natural history, and captive requirements and behaviors in captivity, and the restraint and safe handling of large, dangerous, and sometimes venomous species.
